How To Tuesday: Sticker Chip ‘n’ Dip Platter
July 9, 2013
Summer is a time for getting together with friends, and outdoor bar-be-ques are the perfect way to bring a group of people together! No matter what your theme might be, everyone enjoys a good chip and dip spread. This versatile technique can be used in a number of different ways but the end result will always be the same: an amazing hand-made platter that will be a great conversation starter!
Materials:
Chip and Dip Bowl
Brush
Hole-Reinforcement Stickers
Glaze Colors:
Lima Bean, Vanilla
Instructions:
- Wipe down the piece with a damp sponge to make sure that no dust or dirt has settled on the piece.
- Peel the hole reinforcement stickers off their sheet and place onto the Chip and Dip platter. Press each sticker down firmly to prevent seepage underneath.
- Apply three coats of Lima Bean glaze around the outer section of the platter and three coats of Vanilla on the inner section. Allow to dry.
- Use tweezers to peel up the stickers from underneath the dried glaze.
- Write your name or initials on the bottom of your piece with a paintbrush or paint pen. (Please note: Pen or pencil will not show up after the firing process.)
