Simply Stunning: Glass Fusing

January 3, 2013

After taking a class at the Visual Arts Center a few years ago on Stained Glass making, I absolutely fell in love with glass. The way the light catches the color on fire… The way it spreads twinkling little lights around the room… But taking an entire Stained Glass class can be expensive and time consuming!

All Fired Up offers a unique way to experiment with and play with beautiful shades of glass through a process called Glass Fusing! Simply pick your base, layer colored glass into whatever pattern you like, secure with a small amount of glue, and then our kilns will fuse the glass together – melting it into one solid shape.

Here are some examples of some beautiful glass fusing projects you could try:

Less is more! Try just a few strips of color for a bold look that focuses on your colors!

We hope that you feel inspired to come in and either try glass fusing for the first time, or learn a new technique! If you still want to learn more about how the glass fusing process works, we have created a great video for you which you can view by clicking here!

Thanks so much! And remember – there’s no limit to your imagination!
